You would think I was a jet-setter by the amount of TSA approved items I buy. I have bought more little bottles of shampoo and conditioner, skin care, and perfume than the law should allow. Truth is, I’m not going anywhere. I do, however, have a great reason for buying so many mini items, and reason why you may want to give it a try.
Hair and skincare trends seem like they change almost daily. Every time you turn around there’s a “must have” ingredient or treatment that you have to add to your routine right now! Seriously, who can keep up with that?? If you like prestige brands like Murad, Bumble and Bumble, or anything else sold at Sephora or Ulta, you’ll go broke trying to keep your stash stocked!
That’s why I started shopping small, and it has changed my life! Here are a few of the benefits:
1. PRICE!! That’s the biggest draw for me. For instance, the Bumble and Bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Travel Kit cost me $30 at Sephora. The full size bottles would have set me back $89 bucks! What a steal!
2. RESULTS. It’s no secret that the products in most hair and skin care lines are meant to work together. So if you’ve only got enough cash for part of the set you may not get the results that enticed you to buy it. Typically the travel or bundle sizes include all the products in the set. That means you can try them, all together, and see if you get your desired result.
3. NO COMMITMENT! If you don’t like the results or the products don’t work you don’t feel like you’re tied to it because you spent an arm and a leg on it! That means you can try out as many different products as you like, until you find one you LOVE, without breaking the bank.
Here are some of my recent “small,” buys. If you want to know what I thought of them, leave a comment!
Have I convinced you to start shopping small?
Girl, I shop small . My life is full of subscription boxes and full size lipsticks. I think the only thing that I actually shop full size is foundation which I dont travel with and that is far and few in between. My favorite shop small product is rollerball perfume.
Hahaha I’m glad I’m not the only one! Perfumes are definitely a steal when you buy them small! That Marchesa one came with a nice sized refill and it was only $29!
