Product Review: CoverGirl Melting Pout
The CoverGirl Melting Pout Vox Box was sent to me for free to review. All opinions are my own.
I was pleasantly surprised when I got a package notification at home when I knew I hadn’t ordered anything! Then, I was even more excited when I opened the box and found CoverGirl Melting Pout products to try.
I received:
- Shade 305, Ballerina
- Shade 340, Current Nude
- Glitz Top Coat in shade 405, Double Platinum
My Favorite CoverGirl Melting Pout Product
Hands down, the Glitz Top Coat. It’s a really pretty gloss, it goes on nice and smooth and it’s not sticky. I love it on its own and as a topcoat!
What I Didn’t Like
I’m not impressed with the Matte Liquid Lipstick. It doesn’t dry all the way down like most of my matte lipsticks, and I don’t like the tacky finish. Also, it goes on streaky so it’s hard to get a nice even opaque finish. The shades pretty much look the same, if I was going to purchase these I wouldn’t buy both because there isn’t much of a difference between the two. I did like the lipsticks a little more when I used the topcoat over them.

Would I Buy These?
The matte lipstick retails for $6.99 at Target. I think there are better options within that price point. My favorite is NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream which is also $6.99 and outperforms this lipstick, hands down. Another great option, also by NYX, is Liquid Suede. It’s also $6.99.
What’s your favorite matte lipstick? I’m always looking for new ones to try out!
