Cold weather shows my skin no mercy! Spending more time indoors helps. However, I’m always looking for ways to keep my skin hydrated in winter.

So, I was excited about the opportunity to try Derma E’s four hydrating skin products. All of the products are enriched with Hyaluronic Acid to help provide maximum hydration.

My Favorite Products

Three products in this line worked really well for me. I found myself reaching for them when my skin felt extra thirsty.

This cream is formulated with Hyaluronic Acid, Green Tea, Aloe Vera, and Jojoba Seed Oil. It also contains Vitamin C-Ester, and Vitamins A, B, and E. The cream is thick, so a little goes a long way.

It does feel sticky when first applied. However, after my skin fully absorbed the cream it felt soft and smooth. My skin felt more moisturized, and it also held up well under my makeup. I am not a fan of the scent. All of the products have a similar smell. The best way I can describe it is sort of chalky. It doesn’t smell bad, it just isn’t a pleasant smell in my opinion.

The night cream contains all of the same ingredients as the day cream, minus the Jojoba Seed Oil. This cream is a similar consistency. I honestly feel like you could use one of these or the other for day and night.

They both provide a good amount of hydration, and I don’t see any reason why one needs to be specifically used at night versus during the day.

This eye gel is formulated with fruit extracts and vitamins in addition to Hyaluronic Acid and Alkaline Water. The packaging reminds me of a tube of lip gloss. It has a little roller ball on the top.

It easily glides along the skin under my eye, dispensing the product. The gel has a cooling effect, which is really nice.

The gel absorbs quickly. I did notice that it broke up my concealer a bit, so I prefer to use this on days when I’m not wearing makeup.

My Least Favorite Products

Two of these products didn’t perform well for me.

The name is a bit misleading. I expected this to have a gel consistency. Instead, it is very watery. That made it hard to apply because it was running down my face.

I didn’t really notice a boost of hydration when I applied this before the moisturizer.

Let me start by saying, this works fairly well. However, I have another texture issue with this product. This is like a jelly mask. If you have used jelly masks before, you know they can be difficult to apply.

That being said, this mask is extremely difficult to apply. It kept sliding off my face. Also, there are little beads in the mask. They don’t dissolve and it’s hard to get them to stay on. I’m not really sure what their purpose is. After you get the mask on, it becomes a sticky glaze. If your face rubs against anything, it will peel off a bit. In the morning I did feel like my skin looked refreshed and more hydrated, but I don’t feel like the results justified the hassle.

Overall, I think the cream and eye gel are worth a try if you’re looking for ways to keep skin hydrated in winter. What are your favorite hydrating skincare products?
