I just got my package from Sephora the store that shall not be named in this blog, until further notice! I wanted to try the new Make Up For Ever Ultra HD Foundation, and when I saw I could get a free bag of goodies by placing my order online I jumped at the opportunity!
As I mentioned in a previous post, I’d been a loyal MUFE wearer for some time, but I fell in absolute love with the NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation. That was mostly because I didn’t feel the MUFE was giving me the coverage and staying power I longed for.
Well–it looks like those problems are gone!
The new formula is thicker, which I like. It provides more coverage but remains lightweight.
I’ve also noticed it doesn’t make my skin appear shiny like the old formula did. Plus–the color match is unbeatable! I wear shade N175 and it’s perfect!
I wear Dark 2/New Orleans in the NARS foundation, and that color is a tad too deep for me, but I’m able to make it work.
All things considered, I’d say this is a HUGE improvement–and MUFE may have taken me back over to their side!
I also picked up this Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Lip Tar Test Tube set, to boost my total to $50 to get free shipping :-). This was on sale for $9, and since I’ve been wanting to try them, I figured it was the perfect time!
The set comes with a primer, two lip tar shades, and a small brush. The lighter shade is metallic, and the other shade is billed as matte–but I’d say it’s more of an opaque gloss.
I really, really like this set!
A little drop goes a long way. I applied the primer, and I was able to cover my lips with about three “pin-sized” drops.
It took some time to spread it around and get rid of the streaks, so I don’t think this is a product I’ll use every day.
The best thing is it has been staying put since I applied it–definitely a HUGE plus!
I saved the best for last!
This deluxe sample of the Kat Von D Beauty Tattoo Liner. Oh my goodness–this thing is amazing!
I haven’t used a “pen style” liner before–and I’m thinking I should’ve boarded that train a long time ago! I can’t believe how great this thing is.
It was easy to apply, and it did not budge! I certainly plan on purchasing the full-size liner, when this runs out–I was sold with one try!
